The unique synergy underlying NorcSi
Silicon is the most intensively researched material in the semiconductor industry. This scientific knowledge is rarely used in battery research – unlike at NorcSi. Our production is based on an interdisciplinary research project launched in 2013 by the Helmholtz Centre Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) and the Technical University of Freiberg (TU Bergakademie Freiberg). The unique synergy between semiconductor scientists and battery researchers has paved the way for us to quickly transfer knowledge gained from materials research into industrial applications.
