The unique synergy underlying NorcSi
Silicon is the most intensively researched material in the semiconductor industry. This scientific knowledge is rarely used in battery research – unlike at NorcSi. Our production is based on an interdisciplinary research project launched in 2013 by the Helmholtz Centre Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) and the Technical University of Freiberg (TU Bergakademie Freiberg). The unique synergy between semiconductor scientists and battery researchers has paved the way for us to quickly transfer knowledge gained from materials research into industrial applications.

Udo Reichmann
Udo Reichmann is managing partner of ROVAK GmbH, which supplies customers in the high-tech sector with vacuum and thin-film applications, since 2004. Originally founded to provide services in the field of pump repair, ROVAK GmbH is now a globally active company specializing in innovative special machinery.
Dr. Marcel Neubert
After studying physics at TU Dresden until 2007, Dr. Marcel Neubert worked at Centrotherm-FHR, a leading supplier of vacuum coating systems. From 2010 to 2013, he was a PhD student at the HZDR and completed his doctorate in the field of nanotechnology and -analytics. During the last six years he was responsible for the development of Flash Lamp Annealing (FLA) processes and corresponding systems.
